What could be better than a piece of crispy, country fresh bacon? Praline Bacon! Thick-sliced country fresh bacon, sprinkled with brown sugar and pecans, slow roasted in the oven. This is the recipe that I came up with when I was trying to decide how I could make a slice of bacon even more decadent.
Praline Bacon Yield: 4 Servings 16 strips bacon 2 cup brown sugar 1 cup pecan pieces -Preheat oven 350 degrees Lay strips of bacon in a single layer on foil-lined cookie sheets. Bake until lightly done but not crispy. Remove form the oven and carefully pour off the bacon fat. Combine brown sugar and pecans in a food processor and pulse until the pecans are finely ground and mixed with the brown sugar. Generously sprinkle each strip of bacon with the brown sugar mixture and return to the oven. Bake until crispy and sugar has begun to melt.
