Hey Joe and Heidi, Good to see that y'all are doing well. We need to see an updated photo of Thomas -- certainly he has grown alot since the photo you have posted. He looks so happy, as do all of you. Life here since Katrina is very different - but I remain optimistic that good things lay ahead. Lily is growing up so fast and talking up a storm. Love it... Be well and kiss Thomas for me, Charlotte (Paul and Lily , too)

Great to see you guys are up and running. I'm sure you will be a great success... You guys fed me at least 3 to 4 times a week back in New Orleans. In a few weeks, I'll be at Fort Jackson for a couple months of training. I'll will definitely take a special trip (or two or three) to come and eat some "Real Food". I'll make sure to call ahead and pre-order a Red Velvet cake with ButterCream Icing. See you soon, Lou Carollo

We had lunch at your place on Wednesday and were very impressed with the cleanliness of the place, the warm way we were treated by the entire staff, but especially the great food. The Cuban steak with the rice, salsa and black beans is the best we have had, and we are experts on Cuban food as my husband is from a Cuban background. We will be back for sure. We've been to G and G 2 or 3 times and each time, the weather is delightful and we end up sitting at the outdoor tables. We love it. We end up eating with 10 to 15 people that we don't know and we all talk and laugh like we were all brought up in the same community. Never meet a stranger and never ever have anything that even resembles an unpleasant experience. Did I mention the food? It's great! One of my favorites is the tomato pie, my daughter loves the shrimp, gravy, grits combination and my husband loves ALL OF IT. I highly recommend it and I think if you have an ounce of country in you, you'll love it too. Regards, the Hollidays from Midlothian VA.

On March 1 I came to brunch and everything was amazing as usual. I got to taste the oysters florentine (YUM), the pork sweet potato hash (YUM), the bananas foster waffle (my cousin had cinnamon ice cream with her waffles...great combo!), the strawberry fig pie (YUM) and the molasses ice cream (YUM). I really appreciate the unexpected combinations and flavors you offer. The molasses ice cream was a new concept for me and so good! I always find several new and exciting options every time I come and that's what keeps me coming back. Anybody can do the breakfast or brunch standbys, but I so enjoy the new spins on the foods we all know and the completely new things I've never even thought of before. Thanks so much!

The Pearlcakes served today at brunch were fantastic. I have eaten at Grits and Groceries many times in the past and have had many, many outstanding meals there but this was by far my favorite.

Joe did a bread pudding with some kind of carmel topping several months ago, I wish he would do that again sometimes soon. Also, I didn't know if that could be one of your recipes that you share online sometimes???

Oh my gosh I think I just died and went to heaven. I ran by the Anderson Farmers Market this morning to pick up some of the natural beef that I had heard about and saw your table there. I was not planning on buying anything but the name of your company caught my eye. Then I had a mini tomato pie and a ginger snap and all I can say is WOW, you get a standing ovation.

We just came back from the farmers market and this was our second trip to your table. We love your eggplant Focaccia Sandwiches and your roast beef wrap my husband loved that. We also picked up Chicken and Sausage gumbo so we will have that tomorrow for lunch. Enjoy your food and the girl that works the table is a doll and she is very helpful and always has a smile.. Thanks will be visiting you restaurant soon. Charlene and Bob

Hi, I just wanted to let you know how much I loved your shrimp and grits that I purchased at the Anderson Market a few weeks ago. My Daughter-In-Law Lori loves your Tomatoe Pie. We live in Michigan and visit our family in Anderson often. Next visit down we plan on having a meal at your restaurant! I also purchased your cookbook and I love it! Thank you, Theresa Charbeneau

I enjoyed my meal a few weeks ago tremendously. A truly memorable brunch. Have you ever heard a song by Little Milton called "Grits Ain't Groceries"? Great song, it might be a fun theme song for your reataurant. Don Deutsch

Thanks for the tour last week. I have not been in the store since I was 14 (now I am 57). It was so big back then and of course it was the most popular place around. I suppose that part has not changed a bit. I left Saylors Cross Roads with tears in my eyes 43 years ago. So it was great to find the same hospitality in the country store that I purchased my first 3 cent candy bar at age 4. Merry Christmas. I hope visit often. George Brock, CPA Greenville, SC
